I found this place totally by accident and I’m so glad I did! Every few months I treat myself to a visit to the hairdressers and one morning I happened to be both early and STARVING! The only place open at 9am was Lemon Crepe & Coffee – the decor looked really funky and they had a great little heated outdoor area – I checked out the menu and got excited! Not only did this place do awesome Crepe’s, they had a large array of omelettes, sandwiches and most importantly coffee!!
Being a health and fitness geek I scoured the menu for something healthy and light – it was breakfast after-all! I was delighted to see that they offered gluten free and healthy alternatives for nearly all of their listed options.
I ordered myself a buckwheat salmon and spinach ‘detox’ crepe and large americano and I was not disappointed!!! The crepe was delicious – it was stuffed full of salmon, no measly portions! I like to think of myself as a bit of a coffee connoisseur – I was extremely happy with the good filter coffee I was presented with!!
They have two cafes in Dublin’s city centre; one on Dawson Street, (that’s Lemon HQ) and the other on South William Street, (that’s the trendy one I visited) and they use Fairtrade, Irish produce that’s fresh. Every dish they make is cooked from scratch right in front of you.
I highly recommend Lemon Crepe and Coffee for the perfect inner city breakfast, lunch or treat!!
